We are looking for a brilliant, overachieving, highly motivated individual to join our HR department as a Human Resources Generalist! Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Plan and manage staff and labour relations including policies, programs and procedures
  • Oversee programs that support employees and make sure that the workplace is diverse, fair, respectful and inclusive
  • Write job descriptions, occupational classifications and pay scales
  • Hire, promote, layoff and fire staff
  • Develop and deliver training programs, or oversee the creation and delivery of training programs by internal team members
  • Support management by providing advice on what jobs are needed and how employees can be supported
  • Tell employees about policies, pay rates, and benefit programs
  • Resolving disputes between employees in the workplace
  • Co-ordinate employee job reviews
  • Oversee programs that make sure that the workplace supports health and safety measures, and put forward changes when necessary
  • Create and manage employee development plans
  • Advise on wage/salary levels and other rewards programs
  • Set goals and make recommendations to senior management about HR efforts in the company
    Manage HR risk to the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field
  • 3+ years working as a Human Resources Representative
  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date understanding of technology
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 AM -5 PM
  • Need to be very comfortable interacting with employees of varying personalities both on the phone and in person
  • Calm and collected disposition due to ever changing environment/parameters
Additional Assets
  • Comfortability with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Great organizational skills
  • Solid problem-solving and team management abilities
  • Transportation (your own vehicle) as the job may require commuting from time-to-time (Compensation for mileage included)
  • Strong analytical skills

Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Employment includes extended Employee Health Benefits Package.
